Conferences & Events Attended in 2015

The following are a list of conferences and events that I have, or will be, attending in 2015:

Late Jan/Early Feb - Writer's Guild of Alberta Writing Retreat, Banff Centre:

It was on the way home from this event, on Tuesday, February 3rd, that I stopped at a highway rest stop and slipped on ice and broke my left shoulder.  Yay.

Apr 16th to Jun 4th - The Night Sky, Telus World of Science:

This has nothing to do with my formal education, but it is a interest of mine that I've had for some time.  This is an 8 week course on Thursday nights at the Telus World of Science in Edmonton.  The course is taught three experts in astronomy and includes private sessions in the planetarium and observatory.  The observatory at the Telus World of Science is run by the Edmonton chapter of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada

May 7th, 8th, & 9th - Digital Diversity 2015, University of Alberta:

Unfortunately I was only able to attend the first and second day of this conference as I managed to get a cold on Friday and ended up sick for four days after that!

May 22nd, 23rd, & 24th - Words in 3D, Edmonton:

Attended the events on the 23rd and 24th all day, but wasn't able to attend the Friday night events on the 22nd.  Really wish I had though, was apparently an awesome keynote.

Jun 8th to 19th - Digital Humanities Summer Institute, University of Victoria:

June 8th to 12th attended Introduction to Electronic Literature.  Not at all what I was expecting or hoping.  Was quite disappointed.
June 15th to 19th attended Introduction to Drupal Websites.  Excellent course, learned a LOT.  Glad I switched to this class for the 2nd week.
June 19th to 25th spent vacation time in Tofino, BC, on the west coast of Vancouver Island.  Best part of my time away if you ask me!
